Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, consumers can seek refunds, replacement and compensation for defective goods, deficient services and unfair trade practices — whether bought online or offline. Complaints are filed before the District, State or National Commission depending on the value paid, and can be filed where you live or work.
Complaints should ordinarily be filed within two years. We also defend businesses against consumer claims.
Ordinarily two years from the date the cause of action arose, under Section 69 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Delay can be condoned for sufficient cause.
